This book is broken down into easy to understand terminology for anyone who is not a medical professional.Dr. Joe Alton also has other books he has written that are just as good and full of information on survival medicine and the zika virus that are easy to read and understand. I tell all my friends about these books and about Dr. Joe Alton and his wife Nurse Amy Alton. They have a great podcast and a website with lots of great products for survival medicine buy this and all of his books you won't be disappointed you will be educated.
I have been following the medical team of Joe and Amy Alton for years. I even remember Dr. Bones' first article on fish antibiotics years ago. Now they have written this book which I found super easy to understand. It has details on how to figure out a lot of infections and which antibiotics to use, which I think just might save my life someday. I know this is a must have for everyone else who is preparing for ??? I also have their other BIG book, The Survival Medicine Handbook. These two books will stay with me. Thank you Dr and Nurse Alton for all you do.
This is a great - must have, informative reference book - in which you need to have "before it is needed". ------ because------- You need to read the book and (with that knowledge) purchase the recommended antibiotics/antifungals and have them in your possession before sickness strikes. (in an emergency situation). I'm so grateful for the info. that Dr. Joe Alton and Nurse Amy share from their lifetime of study and practice. They care, obviously, for people enough to have the courage to trust us to study their teachings and apply what we've learned in emergency medical situations where there is "no help on the way"!!!!!! I have also purchased their book - "The Survival Medicine Handbook" - in which would be priceless in many medical situations.
I have their other book and some of this book is overlapped. However there is more info on antibiotics and other ways to fight infection. One can never have to much info on infection. If budget allows add it to your library.
Must have for long term disaster preparedness. And by long term I mean any situation that could cause anyone to be in a situation where medical help isn't available soon enough to affect a positive outcome. Remembering that some infections can cause death very quickly, "long" term is a relative term.
This book contains great information. Joe Alton, Dr. Bones, has written books on medical information that is a must have, must read.
It is always good to know what’s being prescribed for you by your doctor and why. Also find out how to keep an emergency supply handy. Ah ...for your gold fish of course!
