An excellent wealth of biblical information that I refer to quite regularly! I also have Scott Hahn's Bible Dictionary and this one by John McKenzie adds to Hahn's information nicely! I gave it four stars only because it appears "photocopied" but that could just be due to it's older copyright date. All-in-all, a great reference and recommended purchase!
Very disappointed to find my copy is missing the last 36 pages. Did not notice until I needed to look up "Zadok" and found my book ends with "Word" on page 940. I am curious why the last 36 pages are missing and somewhat embarrassed I did not notice before.
Excellent publication. I refer to it often, not just when reading the Bible, but when having Bible discussions, and when reading spiritual books. Highly recommend!

Great book for all Christians.. Various orders of priests devote themselves to different missions. Jesuits typically devote themselves to scholarship. This book is among the better I have read. Try it.
This edition is a paperback using 'perfect binding' which means it is glued in single sheets. It will last well provided it is handled carefully. The paper is moderately thick and nicely opaque. The print is fairly good and large enough to read without strain.For production I rate this as 3 or 4 stars.The content of this dictionary is truly excellent. John L McKenzie writes succinctly, clearly, and accurately on the topics he addresses. His coverage of topics is very good indeed.For content I rate this as 5 stars.
